Natural parks in Umbria
Umbria is a wonderful region, mostly green and wild. Suffice it to say that in such a small area there are 8 Natural Parks, all easily accessible by car from Villamena.
Assisi is in a good position to explore most of the natural beauties of the region: starting from the very close Mount Subasio, to reach the borders with Marche in less than a couple of hours by car, to enjoy the peace of the Monti Sibillini or the Parco del Monte Cucco or visit the spectacular Cascata delle Marmore, one of the most beautiful in Europe and the nearby Parco del fiume Nera.
