Subasio Mount

The Subasio Mount, 1290 meters high, cradle of the Franciscan spirit, well represents the mysticism typical of these places located in the heart of the Umbrian Valley.

The mountain, which stands out in front of Villamena, giving it a breathtaking view, is a natural setting that connects and divides the historic towns of Assisi, Spello, Valtopina and Nocera Umbra as a unifying element of the landscape.

In a dominant position on the city of Assisi, whose historical nucleus is located inside the Park, the Subasio is visible from a good part of the Umbrian Valley and from its top, easily reachable, you can enjoy a wide panorama of the towns and the surrounding greenery up to the Umbrian-Marches Apennines.

Numerous are the paths that run through the woods of holm oak and oak; here history, nature and culture merge in a truly unique atmosphere.
